BiographyHarry Overend was a carpenter and cabinet maker and a well-known builder of model ships. He worked for 14 years at the Wadsworth Atheneum where he built eight model ships. He was born in England and resided in Hartford, Connecticut, Harpswell, Maine, and Sarasota, Florida. He was a member of St. Johns Lodge No. 4 A.F.&A.M., Hartford, Connecticut. At his death he was survived by his wife, Lucy Philana, a son, Harry of East Hartford, Connecticut, two daughters, Mrs. Dale Ingersole of Hadlyme, Connecticut and Mrs. Howard Bayley of New Britain, Connecticut, and four grandchildren.
