Fire is represented by Venus, the goddess of love in ancient mythology, visiting her husband Vulcan, the god of fire, and begging him to make armor for her son. A wide range of metalwork is present at Vulcan’s forge, from jewelry to arms and armor, as are the tools used to make them, including hammers, anvils, shears, and grinding and buffing wheels.
