BiographyPaul Swan began his multi-faceted career by attending the Art Institute of Chicago in 1900, where he studied painting under John H. Vanderpoel (1857-1911) and sculpture under Lorado Taft (1857-1953). He was also a dancer, and had a role as an Egyptian in Cecil B. DeMille's motion picture, The Ten Commandments.
