BiographyEdward Cheney inherited Badger Hall in Shropshire, England (demolished in 1952) from his brother, R. Henry Cheney (d. 1866). He had assembled a large collection of art in Italy, where his family were major players in Anglo-Italian society, and in 1848 had purchased the Palazzo Soranzo-Piovene in Venice.
