Difficult to trace back to its beginnings, as no accurate records exist, historians rely on pictures, which often cannot be dated with certainty. It was most likely built about 1915 for the Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus. It served many years on the RBBB Circus after leaving the Hagenbeck-Wallace show.
