The Flying Concellos were performing their trapeze act on Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus by 1933 and they took over the coveted Center Ring spot following the retirement of famed flyer Alfredo Codona in 1934. Both Art and his wife Antoinette were exceptional performers. Each mastered the difficult triple somersault along with many other tricks that elude other performers to this day. The Concellos also trained and managed other groups of flyers. For several seasons in the late 1930s, all of the flying acts on the Ringling show were managed by Art Concello. In 1942 he became General Manager for Ringling, after one season, Concello purchased the Russell Bros. Circus which he managed until returning to Ringling in 1947.
