BiographyOuterbridge began photographing in 1915 and from 1921 to 1922 he attended the Clarence White School of Photography in New York City, New York. From 1922 to 1925 Outerbridge worked as a freelance photographer for fashion magazines in New York City, New York and in 1925 he moved to Paris, France to work for Vogue magazine. He set up a studio in Paris from 1927 to 1928. Also in 1928 Outerbridge worked in Berlin, Germany and London, England, United Kingdom. From 1929 to 1939 Outerbridge worked in New York City, New York for magazines and advertising. In 1943 Outerbridge moved to Hollywood, California and began portrait photography. From 1947 to 1957 Outerbridge travelled in South America, Mexico and Europe.
