Gerard Jean-Baptiste Scotin IIFrench, 1698 – after 1755

Scotin came from a French family of engravers. He began his career in Paris, making engravings from paintings by Antoine Watteau. In 1733, he travelled to England with his brother, Louis-Gerard, where he worked as a book illustrator.
