Emil Rothengatter1848 - 1939
German born (1848) artist who first worked in Phildephia whtne Cincinnati between 1887-1899. In 1896 he won an award to degin Cincinnati's flag, though this design was never officially adopted. He was a published author as well, publishomg "Art of Poster Making in the United States" in 1911. He concluded his career in New York City where he died in 1939.
