One of the first efforts intended to engage the attention of children with the circus was a series of carved and gilded pony floats for the Barnum show. Though nine floats are portrayed in this lithograph, only seven were actually constructed, of which three are preserved at the Circus World Museum, Baraboo, Wisconsin.
