Poster design changed with the times. Matt Morgan presented Louise Renz’s equestrian act in a straightforward manner that was typical in the 1880s. Morgan’s training as a scenic painter is apparent in the design of the outdoor setting. His signature on the poster conveys his position in the firm as most poster artists remained anonymous.
