Frederick William Riccobono was a world-famous horse trainer who came to America in 1907 to show his horses in New York theatrical circles. Later he served as horse trainer and performer for Barnum and Bailey and Ringling Brothers. In his trademark “Good Night” act, a horse would lie down in bed, and a clown would pull the sheet part way over the horse and then the animal would cover himself completely. The "Horse From Ireland" appeared, walking on her hind legs, wearing an Irish girl’s costume. She made a courteous bow to the public and followed with an Irish dance.
