About this Object1/2 inch scale model of Ringling Circus train.
John Ringling's private car, Jomar, had a cook, valet, and secretary who stayed with the car even with John Ringling was not on the show. It contained a living room, staterooms, full sized bathroom, dining room, kitchen, and quarters for the chef and butler. This car reportedly cost John Ringling $100,000, not a small sum in 1921

The MacDougall circus model complements the Tibbals and Dunn models because it documents the Ringling railroad circus of the 1940s. MacDougall began his model building as a child and was an outlet for his love of the circus. His research skills and his rich research collection make this ½ inch scale model an important addition to the Ringling Collection.
Provenance
Built by Robert MacDougall.
