Inscribed:On the scroll beside Synagoga: VERE AILI I VS DEI EVM; inscriptions on the scrolls held by the twelve half-length figures at either side of the panel are fragmentary to the point of being illegible on the right and entirely lost on the left; further inscriptions in the gold, though largely illegible, seem to identify each personified Virtue.
