About this ObjectOne of a 33-piece nécessaire de voyage set in the Rococo style. Pieces have curvilinear edges and shell like shapes, embossed and incised foliage, wave motifs and C-shaped scrolls, and the occasional birds in trees in a manner reminiscent of Chinese art. Believed to be made for Swedish nobleman whose initials, "J.F.B.v.B." appear on the wooden chest which holds the individual pieces.
